I haven't used this journal in so long, I've forgotten how to post.

This is just a thank-you to the kind person who recommended my fic on crack_van and the people who commented after. It was fun to check this email and see the batch of comments, as late as I am to the game. I can't believe that anyone still reads my scribblings from back when.

My poor website is gone with Geocities, after all that work too. I'm afraid I'm too busy to put up another although this mirror site seems to work:

http://www.reocities.com/dbkate/

Next year it will be fifteen years since I wrote my first fic. I remember how scary and exciting it was. And how bad my punctuation was. Still is.

My sweet kindermouse graduates from Pre-K tomorrow.

Mr. Mouse and I are going to cry out eyes out.

In sad news, minotaur passed away last night. He was such an influence on us baby X-Files slashers with his guides and all around wisdom. My condolences to his family and friends. :-(

Wrote today in the laundromat on my Alphasmart 2000. Awesome little machine, light and cheap and downloads text to the computer easily. I love it.

I think I'm going to be driving the XF crack_van for the month of June if I'm not mistaken (which I might be, all brain damage considered). I'm going to test drive my posts here for borked HTML and if I'm not driving, enjoy the recs.

Fandom: X-Files
Pairing: Mulder/Scully partnership
Length: 6K
Author on LJ: N/A
Author Website: Jill Selby on Wayback
Why this must be read: Hilarious, much needed look at Scully's never-shown frustration with Mulder's beaucratic rebellions and how insane their field reports must have looked in the end.

I started the xf_bigbang fic, with a full outline, on yWriter. Great free novel writing software.

It'll be a major accomplishment if I get this done.
